SABO Super Clinic 2011 Click on the following link to read an article published in the Regina Leader Post about Tommy Nunez and Fred Horgan. SABO Members take part in Heart Break Classic SABO members Marcy Johnson (Fort Qu'Appelle) and O.J. Kozey (Melville) took part in the Hear Break Classic in Indian Head February 11th and 12th. The gym was packed with everyone wearing the t-shirts which were on sale for 20$ with proceeds going to Breast Cancer.
SABO Remembers Colleen DeGagne It was with great sadness to learn fellow official Rick DeGagne had lost his wife Colleen to her long fight with cancer. SABO members wore pink whistles during the four games played at the University of Regina February 4-5 to show support and to Rick and his family.
(Left to right: Michael Champion; Marc Frankilin; Matthew Rosgen; Warren Poncsak; Neil Donnelly; Ron Bailey, Chris Brischuck also wore the whistle on the Friday night series) Fred Frolick Spirit of the Game Award The Regina Association of Basketball Officials is pleased to announce the recipient of the “Fred Frolick Spirit of the Game Award” to an administrator – HOWARD JESSE. · Howard began teaching at Scott and led the senior girls to the provincial championship in 1984. · He was an administrator at Usher, Thom, Imperial, Winston Knoll and Campbell. · He coached the Campbell Junior Girls to three city championships – 2003, 04, 05. · He was involved with the Regina Community Basketball Association for several years. · He was on the RHSAA executive. · He was a co chair in 2009 for the CIS National Women's University Championship in Regina. It is with honor that RABO present the “Fred Frolick Spirit of the Game Award” to Howard Jesse for his demonstration of true SPIRIT of the game both on and off the court.
